Finally, we use a calibrated Testo combustion analyzer to measure the level of ambient and chimney Carbon Monoxide (CO). Modern condensing boilers must maintain a very precise air-to-gas ratio to achieve high efficiency and reduce NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions to the atmosphere. If the burner goes out of adjustment, the boiler will continue running, but you will be polluting more and using more gas.
